Shin a...I'm here to repent...
recently I've seen a patient..
oh, it's on my exam day itself...
and the patient was a walk-in patient,
coincidentally I was free that time,
hence he became my patient..
I was very nervous that time due to the time contraint( 1 more hr to exam),
as well as the case type..
it's a wrist case..
so as what my clinician told me,
I took the history and got back to him..
he listened to me and asked me to do some examinations...
I just followed what he said but I didn't rule out fracture...
and I didn't do some neurological screen as well...
besides that, active, passive and resisted movement are important to us...
but I didn't do resisted(coz my clinician just asked me to do active and passive)
I was super nervous because I'm not familiar with upper limb at all!
So I just followed what the clinician told..
but, after my test, I thought for some time..
I felt that I'm seriously wrong...
I should have screened the fracture at the first place...
and I didn't really do muscle testing because my clinician already given me the diagnosis...
Luckily,
the patient got much better...
But I feel so so sorry to this patient that I didn't provide him with best care...
I would have done better if I'm more calmed and think more by myself(not only listening to the clinician)
He's such a nice guy, during he treatment, we chat quite a lot...
Shin...sigh..I really needa be more well-prepared...
and also always clear bout what I do...

I'm terribly sorry...I hope my clinician was right and hopefully the treatment plan works well for you... I'll pray for you to recover as fast as possible...T.T
I will pray for him as well =) what has passed then just let it be the past, work hard for ur future. As long as you know this, this is enough. Actually you can tell more about your case, is interesting to know about that.. hehe..
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I seriously don't know how to get along with her anymore. When I am closer to others, she will get angry, but I wont bother about her getting angry ad. What i know is friend is not about time, friend is about how well you two trying to get along with each other. I know both of us are best because we know each other well. Great to have you. Seriously =) My dearest. You will always be the top. =) and yea.. When i getting marry, you will be the one who will be my ban liang, unless u got marry ad at that time =) Can you? =)

ReplyDeleteya, u did it right! I always think that between human being there's a boundary,
even it's between closest ones, if you're staying within the boundary, everything seems nice and easy; but if u step out of it, things slowly change and eventually there'll be nothing left...
Yup, I think we understand each other well, when I think of both of us, I always recall there were a few times we knew each other's thought without even saying it out...Hahahaa so yup, you have to be on the top too! ;)
And when I'm depressed or down, you're the one that come across my mind and make me stay strong again...see, how important you are!!! hehehee
Bridesmaid? Hmm, sure! It's my pleasure! I just wish you finish your studies asap, and working here in M'sia, we can have dinner once a month,maybe? And have a short trip every year...*start dreaming* hahahahaa

Btw, I had my M'sian medical law lecture ytd...Hmmm we gotta be really careful when we treat patients...so if you've got lectures like this, don't skip...
to be a doctor, you don't needa know law; but to be a good and lifelong doctor,
you needa law to protect yourself!(P/s: I'm abit sien of one of my sisters didn't attend it coz I know it's very important to us, but she didn't see the importance)
Miss liang chun and wei wei quite a lot recently..hahahaa just miss those time when I could hang out with wen wei with just a call the day before...^^
guess we wont have this class here.. anyway.. we do have bioethic, history of medicine even philosophy.. haha.. but they din really teach la..
